Words cannot express the joy I feel when the summer recedes and autumn emerges. My mood changes dramatically (for the better). I automatically think of Suzanne Vega tunes and neo-soul songs. I can see myself in that new sweater I have been dying to be seen wearing. I long for walking under a canopy of trees as the leaves part from branches descending upon me; I love the smile that I have on my face then. It is a crisp and vibrant season, and it reflects my personality best. Change is coming, and I embrace it with open arms.

Vega releases or may have released a new album around now too according to the radio today...
Oh, to hear someone enjoy the Fall season makes me wish it were my time of year. Unfortunately, my season (summer)is giving way to Autumn. Oh, but I miss the warm, green, sunny lushness of summer.
I actually have Suzanne's latest, and it is a work of art. I hope that Blue Note treats her well. I hope to catch her in B-more next month.
sweetcappela, thanks for the comment. I have many close friends who love summer. I am just not a fan of sweating profusely. There is just something about crisp weather, sweaters, scarves and the changing color of leaves that leaves me invigorated and excited each and every year.
